Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act
The presentation will focus on the nuts and bolts of RLUIPA, including its prohibition on substantial burden, unequal treatment, discrimination, unreasonably limiting or totally excluding religious exercise, the definition of religious exercise, the types of regulations covered by RLUIPA, and other topics. Mr. Sacks will discuss real cases examples and his experiences with RLUIPA cases. Participants will be invited to ask questions at the end.
